Z8 type cylinder seal is a lip seal for cylinder piston and valve. It requires a small groove size.
Installation
This type Z8 pneumatic piston seal can be easily set on a large piston to fit into the groove.
To avoid damage to the seal, remove sharp edges from the piston and cylinder barrel. In the absence of lubrication, it is important to obtain a complete lubrication film in the cylinder barrel. This should be done prior to assembly to ensure a long working life of the seal.
Material
The standard material is synthetic rubber (NBR based) with a hardness of approximately Shore A80. This material has been in recognized use for many years in pneumatic equipment. This material has excellent operating characteristics, especially in the semi-frictional zone. Special materials are also available for various applications in high and low temperatures.
