Type HXN rotary seals are mainly used where the pressure changes from one side of the seal to the other, such as rotating track mandrel, rotary joints, flexible hose wheels, and for machine tool hydraulics. If the seal is used for cylinder head sealing, it is best to close the structure with a dust ring.
